Much like you'd sample various foods to determine your reception menu, you can visit the many outdoor natural settings to choose your backdrop components: fields of sunflowers, rock outcroppings, creeks, gardens, wooden trellises, brick pavers, lakeside, surrounded by Evergreens and so much more!

If you'd prefer an indoor setting, Evergreen has several churches, synagogues and private businesses with elegant, indoor options.

"We love hosting small weddings, elopements, and even just guests of weddings in the area," says Walker. "Our property offers romantic add-ons for guests to commemorate their love on the property with our Love Locks and Lovers Lane Stones as well as our signature Romance Trays complete with flowers from local florists. Our on-site weddings can vary from intimate elopements to small celebrations and our on-site coordinators are there to help with each detail along the way. Culinary Delights and Spirits

Conroy points out that The Pines at Genesee also has an in-house caterer, The Pines Catering, which has catered thousands of wedding rehearsal dinners, holiday celebrations and more since 1982. Whether you're looking for an informal reception or a four-course sit-down dinner, The Pines Catering can fulfill your culinary wishes.

"Our venue is unique in that we provide a day of a wedding coordinator at no additional cost, we include almost everything you need and can provide almost everything else you may want," says Conroy of The Pines at Genesee. "Included in our basic facility and catering cost is not just the space and a meal, but tables, chairs, floor-length linen, silverware, china, glassware, non-alcoholic beverages, ice, bar fruit and all of the labor. We also allow you to bring in your own alcohol-which saves tons of money!"

For venues that don't offer catering, Evergreen has a number of restaurants and caterers that offer it, as well as bakeries and liquor stores to supply wedding cakes and alcohol for the reception.

Where to Lay Your Head

Guests who are attending a wedding in Evergreen have plenty of choices for lodging. Although some may opt to stay at the wedding or reception venue, not all locations offer lodging.

The Bears Inn Bed and Breakfast features 11 charming guest rooms and a two-bedroom detached cabin. Wedding guests can rent one room or the entire inn can be rented out for your wedding party and guests.

The Meadow Creek Lodge and Event Center is an exclusive 34-acre mountain retreat with such fun lodging options as the Colorado Sun Suite, the Room in the Meadow deluxe cabin, and multiple guestrooms with their own private bathrooms.
